Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad

Yesterday was my parents 31st anniversary.  Usually, every year, they go away to Florida for almost a week to celebrate.  This year was nothing out of the ordinary.  They were gone for almost a week and came home late last night.  They said that they had an amazing time - but that it was nothing like last year when my siblings and I threw them a surprise party.  I have never seen the two of them so surprised.  Mission accomplished!
Look at their faces!
Last night, we reminisced a bit and took a trip down memory lane.  It was just a year ago that Sammy was born and they didn't want to miss any time with him.  They decided against going away to Florida and we thought, "It's go time".  We planned a surprise party for them and filled the house with friends and family.
That's not even half of them - I couldn't fit everyone in the picture
As the center piece, we used old and recent pictures of the two of them
We talked to some of their best friends, the Farrel's, about how to get them out of the house, and we decided that if they took them out to dinner, we would have enough time to set up and get everyone in the house before they got home.  We did it!
VERY sneaky
Jim, Joanne, Mom and Dad...BFF's : )
Overall, it was a great night and my parents loved it.  They still talk today about how surprised they were and how thankful they still are.  : )
Mom's happy dance! lol
Look how little Lu was just a year ago; )
Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad!  We love you!
